Curriculum & Language of Instruction
BillabongHigh International School follows the CBSE curriculum, enriched with global teaching practices and experiential learning methodologies that promote deep understanding and skill development.
English is the primary language of instruction across all grade levels. Applicants are expected to demonstrate an age-appropriate level of English language proficiency to actively participate in classroom learning and school activities.
Entrance Assessment
All applicants seeking admission are required to complete an Entrance Assessment appropriate to their grade level. The assessment helps us understand the student’s academic preparedness, learning style, and overall readiness for the curriculum.
- The assessment may be conducted online or on campus, as advised by the Admissions Team.
- The subjects assessed vary according to the grade level applied for.
Student & Parent Interaction / Interview
As part of the admission process, students and parents may be invited for an interaction or interview. This may be conducted either in person or online.
The interaction allows the school to better understand the student’s interests, learning needs, and overall alignment with the values and ethos of BillabongHigh International School.
Evaluation & Admission Decision
Admission decisions are made based on a holistic review of the applicant’s profile, which includes:
- Performance in the entrance assessment
- Feedback from the interaction or interview
- Academic records and reports from the student’s previous school
In addition, we carefully consider whether the student is likely to flourish in the BHIS learning environment and whether the school is able to adequately support the student’s individual learning needs.
Age Criteria & Grade Placement
Admissions are offered in accordance with the school’s age eligibility criteria for each grade. Parents are requested to refer to the Grade Level & Age Criteria document for detailed information regarding eligibility and placement.
